Arkeia Opens Offices in Los Altos, CA

The offices will provide a hub for engineering resources, house Arkeia’s product management organization, and accommodate local sales resources.

Kadena Systems Engineering Staff
Co-locates with Arkeia Engineering
Arkeia Software acquired Kadena Systems, a developer of next-generation deduplication technology in November 2009, gaining valuable engineering resources including Kadena’s Chief Architect, Tamir Ram. Ram earlier held technical leadership roles at storage leaders VERITAS (now Symantec), NetFrame, and Auspex Systems. Ram also served as the original engineering team leader at Data Domain. He has been awarded several patents in data protection and networking.
The new Silicon Valley offices co-locate engineers from Arkeia with Kadena Systems to accelerate development of next-generation data protection solutions. Arkeia Software’s first programs in its Silicon Valley offices will focus on development of next-generation deduplication technology and solutions for backup of virtualized environments.
