Acacia Subsidiary Acquires 49 Patents/Applications Covering SANs and RAIDs

Acacia Research Corporation announced that a subsidiary has acquired two patent portfolios comprising 24 U.S. patents, 7 U.S. patent applications and 18 foreign counterparts from a major technology company.

The patented technologies generally relate to:

• Storage Area Network (SAN), covering various aspects of network-based storage devices, including architecture, data storage and monitoring, and
• Disk array systems, covering disk drive interface, storage data integrity and system architecture.
