New RAID Company: Inistor From Taiwan
With 1U to 3U rack-mounted disk arrays

Inistor 2U RAID
Inistor is a new one based in San Chong City and headed by Mike Chen. Inistor, with currently round 20 people, is more precisely a brand name of Cheng Wa Industrial Co. Ltd., a company established in 1964 that produces in Taiwan and China precision metal parts for computers, telecommunications, networks, and CE industries, including chassis with original air flow and fan systems, and a special knowledge in anti-vibration units. That the reason the firm decided two years ago to enter into the 19-inch rackmount RAID market, to finally just launching new products at CeBIT.
There are three models of disk arrays that were showed at the event. All of them can use RAID levels 0, 0+1, 3, 5, 6, 10, 30, 50, 60 and NRAID with hot-swapped 3Gb/6Gb SAS/SATA 3.5-inch HDDs, dual or single Intel/AMD processors, hot swappable fan module, and an optional peripheral bay for an optical disc drive.
The 1U unit offers to integrators 2 or 4 3.5-inch HDD bays, the 2U 12 or 24 2.5-inch bays, the 3U 8 or 16 3.5-inch bays.
