In addition, Egenera has certified the solution on Dell EqualLogic PS6000 series arrays.
Dell PAN System now delivers N+1 high availability and verifiable disaster recovery, including complete server, I/O and network environment fail-over, using iSCSI storage systems. This enterprise-class disaster-recovery solution addresses the expansion of iSCSI storage into mission-critical data center environments, which require high levels of service and availability.
Egenera has experienced significant market momentum for the Dell PAN System, recently announcing several new customers in healthcare, government, hosting, manufacturing and financial/trading.
Both Dell PAN System and Dell PAN Datacenter-in-a-Box are immediately available for purchase with Dell EqualLogic support from Dell and authorized Dell Enterprise Resellers.
“Integrating PAN Manager Software with Dell servers and Dell EqualLogic storage results in unprecedented availability and agility at the best price-point in the industry,” said Dan Busby, Egenera’s vice president of product management. “iSCSI is the perfect complement to our existing Ethernet-based converged infrastructure fabric, and aids in the transition to a fully IP-based data center.”
“Coupling the ease-of-use and all-inclusive software of Dell’s EqualLogic arrays with the Dell PAN System allows us to offer customers best-value storage solutions,” said Travis Vigil, worldwide lead for Dell EqualLogic marketing. “Our continued and expanded partnership with Egenera highlights the innovative role iSCSI storage systems can provide in simplifying data center management while reducing total cost of ownership.”
