With his entry into the company, actidata is gaining an industry expert with many years of experience in storage and backup and a very well-known manager in the market. In addition to Germany, Austria and Switzerland, Roszyk’s responsibility also covers further Central and Eastern European business.
Before joining actidata, Roszyk worked for Tandberg Data for a number of years: At first he served in leading positions in the areas of product marketing and sales. Following this, in 1996 he was appointed as Managing Director of Tandberg Data GmbH and was responsible for Central and Eastern Europe business. In this position, which he carried out up until last year, he played a leading role in advancing and expanding the channel business.
In his new appointment at actidata Roszyk wants to place a focus on enhancing the close dialogue with resellers and on further establishing the company in the market. Rosyzk comments on actidata’s development to date: “Since starting activities in September 2009 over 150 dealers have registered with actidata. We are listed at main distributors and we secured a number of significant projects.” Roszyk continues: “We want to strengthen our profile in terms of service-friendliness. At the end of 2009 we took on an experienced system engineer to expand our service team and by doing this can now clearly demonstrate our competence and know-how to our resellers.“
actidata CEO, Gudmundur Einarsson, who has acted as Managing Director in Germany to date, is now focusing his attention on extending the product portfolio with innovative disk-based back-up solutions and on the strategic development of actidata’s business with a special focus on expansion in Asia. Einarsson comments: "We are very happy that such an experienced capacity as Frank Roszyk has joined the actidata team and he will definitely strengthen our position in the market."
