Comments
Globally, we can preview that the last calendar quarter of 2009 will be a a good one for the majority of the storage companies. No one has already published its official financial results for the period but Bell Micro is the biggest storage distributor in the world, with a vast catalog including components, hardware and software.
Look at the most recent financial results of Xyratex published today (for its quarter ending in November 2009). They are not bad. That's the same for the preliminary financial figures of Emulex and Hutchinson revealed yesterday.
Seagate is generally the first storage firm to report its quarterly financial results. It will be next January 20 and we are also waiting for nice figures.
This is apparently the end of the tunnel.
But for the entire 2009 year, revenues of the storage companies will be generally lower than in 2008 because of the economic crisis altering the first semester of last year.
