ServersMan@Android 2.0β enables users to share and publish data in Android phones via the Internet, accessing the data in the phones directly via Web browsers. ServersMan works by delivering a ‘cloud server in your pocket’ as Android can run applications in the background.
ServersMan@Android 2.0β is available in four languages: English, Japanese, Chinese, and Korean.
The primary functions are as follows:
- Connect to Android phones without cables – accessible through a browser or WebDAV: ServersMan offers an easy way to save files from a phone to a PC and vice versa. Users who log on to the application in the phone get instant access to the phone’s files on serversman.com. There is no need for any cables when transferring data. ServersMan also supports WebDAV.
- Publishes web pages from your Android phone; mash-ups also available: With an Android phone you can manage your personal website. Just upload your HTML, pictures, etc. to the ServersMan public_html folder and turn on Web publish. Users can also mash-up GPS data and Google Maps on ServersMan and publish them as a web site.
- Videos, Pictures, Record and publish them with ServersMan: ServersMan allows you to publish recordings of videos, and pictures directly from Android phones to the Internet.
- Enjoy photos with a slide show: Save as many photos as you have into the ServersMan picture folder and enjoy a photo slide show.
- Easy access to any network – Wi-Fi or 3G: FreeBit’s gateway service, ‘SuperNode’ automatically switches between Wi-Fi and 3G.
Once a user installs ServersMan and completes an easy registration process, FreeBit assigns the Android phone an IPv6 global address. Any type of connection is acceptable because of SuperNode.
Freebit is focusing on the development of affordable consumer electronics to leverage benefits resulting from the integration of ServersMan and Android devices.
