Start-Up CloudEngines Raised First $3 Million

CloudEngines, Inc., a San Francisco-based developer of technology that lets users access their hard drives remotely, has raised the first $3 million of a planned $4 million round of equity funding, according to a filing with the SEC.

Last May, the start-up behind Pogoplug received $3.25 million in Series A funding from The Foundry Group.
