The DataTale Family from ONNTO Corporation provides external storage.

The DataTale Family started with natural look of silver in aluminum and elegant taste in image. Then from the vertical yet slimmer design of the 2-bay and 4-bay, the 3.5" Portable is developed while still utilizing the original appearance of aluminum silver with the mechanical design of SmartGuider; the 2.5" Mobile is created from slicing the original model appearance horizontally; while maintaining the same basic colors (silver, white, and the recent mysterious black), and material from the Family’ s original ventilation lid cover.
      
SmartGuider
The SmartGuider is an HDD fixing mechanism, created to compensate for most users’ desired need of easy 3.5-inch HDD removal, insertion, and installation. This one-of-a-kind design enables tray-less HDD positioning, HDD hot-swapping, and HDD installation an absolute breeze (Taiwan New Design Patent M354309).     
 
RAID MASTER
The RAID MASTER, a GUI (Graphic User Interface), permits users centralize and effectively oversee complicated RAID applications, implement more advanced RAID functions, and be continuously yet automatically updated on status. With the RAID MASTER, users can configure multiple RAID tasks, set the alerting feature to report any system problems, and customize a variety of storage activities for RAID System. The flexibility and full-on support of a ‘helper’ allow users to set everything as preferred and be free to accomplish other important tasks. It provides potent storage management under JBOD, RAID 0 (Striping), RAID 1 (Mirroring), Span, Clone, RAID 5, RAID 1+0, and optional HotSpare/Automatic Rebuild.
 
Heat Dissipation
‘Natural and controlled’ heat dissipation is created by the design of the SmartGuider, rugged aluminum casing, and low-dB fans. The SmartGuider design allows enough air passages to channel through every corner and side. The rugged aluminum casing serves its purpose by being the automatic heat dissipation conductor. The fans enhances the internal air flow and efficiently cool high RPM SATA HDDs. The DataTale Portable’ s open-back design along with the aluminum casing and its fanless design provides an even faster ‘natural air circulation’ for heat dissipation while significantly reducing any excess noise.

2TB+
2TB+ Most data storage and RAID management devices on the market are incompatible if more than 2TB storage capacity is applied. The Family comes with the latest heavy-duty chipset that supports 2TB+ SATA HDD storage load without any additional setup..

3.5-Inch 2-Bay RAID & 4-Bay RAID Systems
The DataTale RS-M2QO 3.5-inch 2-Bay and RS-M4QO 4-bay RAID Systems are the choice for designers, architects, digital filmmakers, audio engineers and any user who would require RAID data management with a big storage capacity from an external device. RS-M2QO provides basic RAID features: RAID 0 (Striping), RAID 1 (Mirroring), and JBOD (Just a Bunch Of Disks).

RS-M4QO offers advanced RAID functions: RAID 0 (Striping), RAID 1 (Mirroring), and RAID 5, RAID 5+HotSpare, and RAID 0+1 to target different data storage requirements. For either System, RAID mode setup can be done easily with the RAID Mode Switches without software installation. The LEDs gives assistance in monitoring status of the HDDs and RAID functions. No matter what interfaces are equipped with the computer, the systems can be connected right out of the box. It comes with 1394a, 1394b, USB2.0 and eSATA.
 
4-Bay SMART RAID System
The DataTale RC-M4DJ 4-Bay SMART RAID System allows professional RAID functions to be carried out easily. It uses a hardware-based RAID system via a LCM display, and a GUI to customize and manage RAID-related tasks. 3.5-Inch Portable
A partner to have with the DataTale RAID Systems when using under JBOD/ Mirror/Clone modes are the DataTale TD-M11H and TD-M12H 3.5-inch Portable HDD Enclosures. The SmartGuider combined with its open-back design makes the DataTale Portable suitable for any users with more than one HDD while utilizing the HotSwap feature. Furthermore, the Twist Locks secures any 3.5-inch HDD inside the enclosure, and its lasso foot helps prevent sliding and stabilizes the enclosure’s positioning. The LED-Integrated Power Button indicates current power and access status; and the HDD will automatically spin down and up when the host computer is powers off or enters into sleep mode.
 
2.5-Inch Mobile
The newly-released DataTale Mobile 2.5-inch AU-S10 and AT-S111 Enclosure Kits offer the full-featured and in-style storage solution with the most common connections. The DataTale Mobile carries the ‘DataTale Family look’ from the original DataTale RAID Systems’ lid cover by using a heat resistance and multi-colored in casing selection – white, black, and red. The reserved copper-pillar reinforced screw guides enhance case durability regardless of how often the HDD was swapped; and the hidden LED indicates the Enclosure Kit’s current power status and data access.
