balesio Releases FILEminimizer Server V.6.0, Starting at $2,000
Software to control, optimize and reduce MS Office and image data volume on file
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on December 16, 2009 at 2:57 pmbalesio AG releases its new software FILEminimizer Server v.6.0. The storage software now features a free ‘Storage Analyzer’ which lets IT administrators and users quickly assess the storage optimization potential of MS Office and image files on servers, NAS and SAN systems.
FILEminimizer Server can then optimize MS Office and image files directly on the file server by applying the FILEminimizer technology which in contrast to the classic Zip technology preserves the original file format, accessibility as well as all file attributes and functionality.
FILEminimizer Server features an intuitive Profile Wizard to create individual optimization profiles for MS Office and/or image files. These optimization profiles can be executed ad hoc, or using the Scheduler, can be tasked to run at a specified time.
On average, file size reduction and storage savings of more than 70% with Office files and 80% with image files are realistically possible providing a fast Return on Investment for the companies.
Given that MS Office and image files represent the lion’s share of files in a normal company environment, optimizing the size of those files with FILEminimizer Server is a very intuitive and extremely effective way of reducing data storage in organizations and saving enormous storage space and costs.
Numerous clients like Lockheed Martin, British Marine, US Marines, IBM, Yahoo, Siemens, etc. have already implemented the FILEminimizer technology from balesio Software.
FILEminimizer Server v. 6.0 is available in three editions and is licensed per server only. A single server license starts at US $1,999.00. For companies, balesio also offers attractive company and site licensing models. Universities and High Schools can benefit from balesio’s Campus License program.
