Synnex Expands Portfolio With Samsung In Australia

Samsung’s IT division has introduced a number of new products into the Australian market this year to meet the needs of both businesses and consumers, including several new ranges of LCD monitors, notebooks and a broad range of multi-function devices aimed at SMEs and remote offices of larger enterprises.
“We have delivered a significant amount of new and innovative products this year in Australia and want to increase our growth in these categories. It’s no secret that Synnex are doing very well in the current market and come highly recommended. The experience they have and the value they offer, in addition to their logistics capability, meant partnering with Synnex was an easy decision to make,” said Phil Newton, Director, IT Division, Samsung Electronics Australia.
Having recently come back into the notebook market, Samsung will focus on the integration of 3G, Windows 7 and longer battery life to grow its computing business. For the retail monitor market, Samsung has grown its share to 28 per cent, (October) according to recent data from GfK. Similarly, in the past six months, sales of Samsung commercial display screens into the Pro AV market has more than doubled.
Similarly, Synnex recently announced strong growth in Australia having signed a number of new vendor agreements in 2009. The partnership with Samsung complements the existing range of products in the Synnex portfolio including Brother, Gateway, HP, Acer, Asus and LG.
