CMS Products to Become Avecto Reseller
For business security product solutions
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on November 20, 2009 at 3:34 pmCMS Products, Inc. has agreed on a strategic, global partnership with Avecto Ltd., in least privilege management. Avecto is based in Manchester, U.K.
Through the partnership, CMS Products will be bundling Avecto’s Privilege Guard with its products such as BounceBack Ultimate ‘Instant PC Recovery’ and CE-Secure data encryption offerings.
While CMS Products provides enterprise data safeguards and management, Avecto’s new Privilege Guard Version 2.2 provides user management, allowing elevated tasks to take place under a standard user account such as the installation of the drivers, which are required as a part of a backup process.
By bundling the products, CMS will become an authorized Avecto reseller, providing enterprise customers with a robust, one-stop shopping solution to enterprise user security.
CMS Products’ software suite is comprised of data backup, encryption and security technologies which can be purchased individually or as part of an integrated suite. The company has received numerous awards for its leading edge, easy-to-use products which are revolutionizing the notebook and desktop data backup/disaster recovery and storage industry.
CMS has developed BounceBack Ultimate and BounceBack Essential – the only commercially-available ‘Instant PC Recovery’ products available to date – which allow computer users to boot (restart) a ‘crashed’ computer from an external hard drive to which the computer has been backed up. Users then have the ability to continue working with no down-time and no data loss.
“For enterprise security, both user management and data management are imperative to preventing security breaches,” said Gary Streuter, vice president of marketing for CMS Products. “By combining these two features into one versatile solution, IT management can enjoy tight control and ultimately can reduce costs.”
“Most organizations suffer the pain and strain of continually solving laptop and desktop user problems,” said Paul Kenyon, vice president of Worldwide Sales for Avecto. “By combining these two products, we are creating a powerful tool for IT departments globally to better serve their customers, while providing individuals with tools to help themselves quickly and efficiently.”
