Brian Reagan Senior VP of Marketing and B’ss Development for Xiotech

He worked for IBM, Arsenal and EMC.

Xiotech Corporation announced that Brian Reagan has been named senior vice president of marketing and business development. He assumed the role Nov. 2, and he will lead the company’s efforts to reinvigorate its brand and educate the industry about its game-changing Intelligent Storage Element (ISE) technology and the superior value it delivers to consumers.

Brian Reagan has a proven record as a corporate brand builder and momentum generator to go with a reputation as a strong voice for emerging technologies and sound business strategy,” said Xiotech President and CEO Alan Atkinson. “We will be counting on him to help make Xiotech one of the biggest, most trusted names in the storage industry.”

xiotech_brian_reagan_senior_vp  Reagan comes to Xiotech from IBM, where he served as global strategy and portfolio executive for the company’s $1 billion Business Continuity and Resiliency Services division. In this role, he was a primary voice in IBM’s cloud strategy and was responsible for accelerating sales of the global portfolio, aligning investments and resources to strategic business goals and collaborating with other corporate leaders worldwide. Reagan joined IBM as part of its acquisition of Arsenal Digital Solutions, where he served for three years as executive vice president and chief marketing officer. Reagan led all marketing functions at Arsenal, and is credited with transforming the company’s position in the industry in that time.

Prior to Arsenal, Reagan worked eight years in senior-level roles at EMC, where he planned and developed new market and business growth strategies for the company’s Professional Services division and CTO Council. Among other projects, he was responsible for orchestrating new product and service launches, developing the company’s first marketing campaign focused on the mid-market and launching the company’s first e-commerce engine. His career also includes storage roles at MCI Telecommunications and PCLC, a database and data management solution provider in the northeastern United States.

A frequent speaker at industry events and conferences, Reagan holds a MBA from George Mason University and a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from Bennington College in Vermont.

"Xiotech has technology with the potential to revolutionize the industry, a strong customer base as its backbone and rock stars throughout its staff ranks," said Reagan. "We’re going to crank it up a few notches and make some noise out there, and along the way I think we’re going to surprise a lot of people about how competitive we are and what kind of company we can be."

Xiotech is blessed with great technology that deserves more adoption, but is cursed by how difficult it is to be adequately heard above the general hubbub of the market,” said Mark Peters, senior analyst at Enterprise Strategy Group. “However, unlike many vendors, Xiotech is doing something about it. Brian Reagan adds a successful track record in driving brand-based growth for small and large organizations, and that’s a perfect fit for what Xiotech needs right now.”
