Permabit Technology Certified With CommVault Simpana 8 Software

Permabit Technology Corporation announced that they have received certification for Permabit Enterprise Archive with Simpana 8 software from Commvault Systems, Inc.

with CommVault’s Simpana 8 provides:

• Certified storage management solution that allows seamless migration of static information from Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SharePoint, Lotus Domino and file systems freeing up valuable and expensive primary storage capacity.
• Dramatically improved backup by intelligently relocating static information to Permabit storage, moving it out of the active backup process to save time while reducing overall costs for hardware, software and management.
• A unified eDiscovery platform that allows Simpana software’s powerful search and eDiscovery solution to search massive amounts of information that can be cost effectively stored on Permabit’s enterprise value tier disk storage platform.
• A secure, compliance-ready archive platform that can store data in a Write Once Read Many (WORM) storage repository, built-in natively to the Permabit Enterprise Archive storage, and enforce retention policies defined within the Simpana platform.  This allows for adherence to even the most stringent of regulatory and corporate compliance requirements.

Permabit’s certification with CommVault technology was validated by a series of test cases and test plans to demonstrate complete compatibility between Enterprise Archive and CommVault Simpana data and information management software. When used with Enterprise Archive, CommVault Simpana software automates the integration, archive and backup of data between the online environment and the archived storage data repository, speeding critical access to increase productivity and workflow across the organization.

As a member of the CommVault Partner Advantage program, CommVault will provide Permabit with new releases and software updates, as well as ongoing training and support to ensure continued compatibility of CommVault Simpana software with Permabit Enterprise Archive.
