LegalCloud Licenses FalconStor Software

LegalCloud and FalconStor Software, Inc. announced that LegalCloud has licensed technology from FalconStor to provide disaster recovery and business continuity services to legal clients worldwide.

FalconStor Continuous Data Protector (CDP) and FalconStor Network Storage Server (NSS), part of FalconStor’s comprehensive suite of Totally OPEN storage software, will be used in conjunction with LegalCloud’s Total Data Protection Service to cost-effectively replicate all systems, applications and data from clients’ existing primary data center facilities into LegalCloud virtual data centers.

The Total Data Protection service has been crafted in conjunction with legal beta clients over the past few months. Close integration with VMware and LegalCloud’s self service provisioning tools mean that legal clients can now cost-effectively replicate all data and systems into secondary LegalCloud facilities, instantly recover data and systems and completely eliminate other forms of offsite backup like tape. The result is significant improvements in disaster recovery at up to 80 percent cost savings over existing conventional methods widely in use by law firms.
