In this role, he will build on the strong customers’ demand in the region and lead the company’s aggressive sales and marketing expansion strategy. Klinkby-Silver will be part of the VirtenSys team at Storage Expo 2009, on October 14-15, 2009, at London Olympia to demonstrate the company’s recently announced I/O virtualization switches.
Klinkby-Silver has more than 25 years of sales and management experience in helping high-tech companies expand their business to international markets. Most recently, he was vice president of EMEA for EqualLogic, a storage solution vendor. In this role, he successfully established EqualLogic in Europe, and played a major part in the company’s growth, which ultimately led to its acquisition by Dell. Prior to EqualLogic, he was general manager of EMEA for Intransa, and, before that, he was CEO of Avanti Europe.

As part of its strategy to grow its presence in the EMEA market, Virtensys will showcase its I/O virtualization switches, the VirtenSys VIO 4000 Series, at the Storage Expo 2009. The VIO 4000 series recently won the Best New Technology award at VMworld 2009 in San Francisco, CA.
