ExaGrid De-Dupe Supports Vizioncore vRanger Pro 4.0 Backup

ExaGrid Systems, Inc. announced support for the latest version of Vizioncore, Inc.‘s industry-leading back up and recovery solution, vRanger Pro 4.0.

Both ExaGrid and Vizioncore offer products and solutions that streamline the management of data backup and recovery processes for VMware users. The combined solution consumes 95 percent less disk space for backups vs. standard disk without deduplication, making long term retention of backup data on reliable, high-performance disk a cost-effective reality. ExaGrid was presented the combined ExaGrid/vRanger Pro solution at VMworld at the Vizioncore booth.

Vizioncore’s vRanger Pro solution offers full image-level and differential backups of virtual machines to enable faster, more efficient storage and recovery of virtual machines. ExaGrid`s Disk-based Backup systems serve as the backup target for these virtual machine images, using high-performance, post-process data deduplication to dramatically reduce the disk storage capacity required for backups versus standard disk storage.
