Laztech Installed keepITsafe at Doody Crowley Chartered Accountants

For off-site data protection

Laztech IT Services Limited recently won a deal to install keepITsafe online backup into Doody Crowley Chartered Accountants based in Dublin 2. For Doody Crowley it was critical that they utilise a reliable, automated, offsite data protection plan that could grow with their business needs.

Before installation a full backup was taking 22 hours due to the large volumes of data and fragmented file structure. The main difference with online backup is it only backups new and updated files so the backup window was reduced to 2 hours. The company were also exposed to human error and as the company grew and the amount of data increased it was a necessity to review their business continuity plan moving forward.

The business implications of data loss disasters couldn’t be more stark, which is why Doody Crowley have taken the necessary steps to make sure their critical business data is secured with keepITsafe, Ireland’s largest online backup provider. Their data is now available for full restore if the need arises and staff members do not get involved in the backup process. "As the process is fully managed and fully monitored we don’t have to manually do anything. If there is a problem we will be informed about it straight away. It is an extremely proactive and cost effective solution to data backup which is critical in our business," stated Rory Williams, Partner in Doody Crowley.

"A frequently cited study in Contingency Planning and Management magazine found that 40 percent of companies that shut down for three days failed within 36 months", stated Jonathan Crowe, Technical Director, keepITsafe. "The reality is if you are left in a data loss scenario it is very difficult for a company to recover."

"Our client now has the peace of mind that all data is fully encrypted and secured in multiple datacentres in Ireland. Businesses today never have to consider the daunting possibilities of being legally liable for damages from lost information with the latest backup methods," stated Larry Burke, Director of Laztech IT Services.
