Incentra Offers Secure Replication Service

Incentra, LLC announced a new Secure Replication Service delivered with EMC Avamar. This new offering automates the offsite replication of customer backup data to improve disaster recovery capabilities and is the latest addition to Incentra’s portfolio of managed storage services.

EMC Avamar is a global deduplication backup and recovery solution that provides disk-based data protection for customers. The latest addition to Incentra’s broad portfolio of outsourcing services, Incentra’s Secure Replication Service addresses the up-front cost and ongoing operational challenges associated with offsite data protection.

Incentra’s Secure Replication infrastructures are designed on Dell and EMC technology. These infrastructures are housed in its data center partner, FORTRUST’s, high availability, SAS 70 Type II facility. The service, systems and processes are monitored 24×7 by Incentra’s Network Operations Center located in Colorado. Performance reporting, alerts, historical analysis and ordering are available through the Incentra GridWorks portal. With the new Secure Replication Service, the customer’s backup data is automatically replicated over an encrypted VPN link. Data may be restored over the wire or with HDD media.
