Dr. Kanzo Okada Senior Scientist at DSI

This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on July 14, 2009 at 3:04 pmThe Data Storage Institute (DSI) in Singapore announced that Dr. Kanzo Okada joined DSI’s Network Storage Technology (NST) Division as a Senior Scientist in April 2009.
At DSI, Dr. Okada would be leading a team of researchers to develop both the architecture for a Peta-scale archival data storage system as well as a smart data mining technology capable of getting useful information from large capacity storage systems within a fast turn-around time.
Prior to joining DSI, Dr Okada held the position of General Manager of Tera Bytes Memory Development Department at the Core Device Development Group under the umbrella of Sony Corporate R&D. He received a B. Sc, in physics, a M. Sc and Ph. D in mathematics from Oregon State University, USA.
