DRI China’s affiliation with DRI International supports the mission of promoting awareness and best practice in Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) through education and implementation.
At the same time, the partnership provides professional recognition of BC practitioners through an international BC/DR Certification and continually enhancing creditability of its professional Certification process in Mainland China.
DRI International recognizes the need to customize its training to be respectful of each countries culture and unique requirements. DRI China brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to help in customizing DRI International’s educational curriculum for the Chinese practitioner. This partnership will continue to advance the global mission of achieving a consistent and sustainable global business continuity model. DRI China is the only authorized representative for DRI International certification processing in greater China region. This area of representation includes Mainland China, Hong Kong, Marco and Taiwan. All courses and training are conducted under the support and guidance of DRI International. The partnerships is dedicated to educating organizations and individuals in best International Standards and Practices of Business Continuity Management with an emphasis in maintaining the highest level of professionalism and ethical behavior.
Currently, DRI China offers the globally recognized Business Continuity Planning (BCLC-2000) course in Mandarin Chinese. This course is targeted for professionals with a minimum of two years of business continuity experience. The course offers an overview of the BC planning process through the Professional Practices for Business Continuity Professionals. The Professional Practices for Business Continuity Professionals are the skills, knowledge and procedures BC professionals need to lead a BC planning effort. This 5-day course includes 32 hours of instruction followed by the Qualifying Exam. Instructors offer a fast-paced overview of DRI International’s business continuity planning model and delineate the knowledge, skills and procedures needed to effectively execute at each stage. Instructors present a case study exercise and other select exercises depending on the experience in the room.
Upon completion of the course participants will:
- be reminded of the BC planning stages and requirements to effectively implement each one;
- confirm their understanding of industry terminology;
- learn recent trends, and
- be able to articulate the roles of the BC planner, business components and executive management in
- developing, testing and maintaining BC plans.
These are essential elements of the DRI International Qualifying Examination.
DRI China also offers a qualifying examination only option for qualified individuals seeking to begin the certification process without additional training.
