Double-Take Recruits 19 Partners
As part of its Service Provider Licensing Program
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on April 21, 2009 at 3:57 pmDouble-Take Software has expanded its channel programme, recruiting 19 partners to bring its solutions to market as part of a Service Provider Licensing Programme. Under the programme, managed service providers (MSPs) can deliver subscription-based business continuity and disaster recovery services based on Double-Take Software’s leading data replication software.
New partners that have signed up include Alternative Solutions, Computer Network Consultants, KS Services, Servo, Virtual DCS, and Insite. Double-Take Software also has partnership agreements with Unicorn IT and PTL Gateway to provide managed business continuity services.
“This move to support a managed services approach comes as customers have told us that they want the additional flexibility that this strategy can deliver,” said Ian Masters, UK sales and marketing director for Double-Take Software. “Offering our software as part of a package that is paid for on a monthly basis means that our partners can meet the requirements of these customers, as well as bringing the benefits of enterprise class availability solutions to a wider market.”
KS Services Ltd. has partnered with Double-Take Software to expand its existing business continuity offering to customers and tap into a market that has not previously been served. "We target small and mid-sized businesses in the finance, legal and professional services sectors that have a regulatory need to ensure that their staff can keep working, even in the event of a full disaster affecting their offices. Using Double-Take, we can replicate and store information simply and efficiently at our site, providing them with a real time copy of their data at our DR facility. Through this technology we can offer our customers the same level of service that is traditionally only available to large corporate organisations, but at a price point that is cost-effective enough for smaller companies,” said Richard Kelt, sales director, KS Services.
Peter McNulty, sales director at VirtualDCS (Virtual Data Centre Services LLP) commented: “We have a core business continuity service that we offer to our customers, using virtualisation and replication technologies. With Double-Take, we can replicate a mirror image copy of an entire server into our secure data centre around the clock. If a customer is affected by an incident, they can have a fully working server back up and running within minutes, and with almost zero loss of data. The Double-Take product is very efficient in achieving the results that our customers require, but more importantly Double-Take Software is focused on working with its partners on joint marketing activity and campaigns – they are actively involved in helping us develop our business successfully."
