IBM XIV Available in Factory Configurations

The IBM XIV Storage System Model A14 is now available in factory configurations with nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, or fourteen modules. These new configurations are field-upgradeable with one or more additional data modules, up to the maximum of fifteen total interface and data modules.

Key prerequisites
The IBM XIV Storage System (2810-A14) requires an IBM XIV Storage System Software V10 license (Product ID 5639-XXA). The quantity of base XIV Storage System Software features must equal the total quantity of interface modules and data modules in the XIV Storage System.

Factory configurations with nine to fourteen modules require IBM XIV Storage System Software Version 10.0.1.b, or later.
