SOS Online Backup Sees Four-Fold Increase in Sales in 2008

SOS Online Backup saw rapid expansion in the sales and integration of its online and local data backup solution during the past year. While worldwide sales of data protection and security software are projected to remain flat during 2009, internet related services are now so ingrained in the daily lives of businesses and consumers that they will hold up relatively well compared to other areas of the economy, according to the January 2009 IBIS World Recession Briefing.

In 2008, SOS Online Backup experienced a four-fold increase in global sales, and expanded distribution through more than 300 resellers. In addition, the company announced the integration of its technology in two of the leading security and data protection software suites – Webroot Internet Security Essentials and Bitdefender Total Security 2009. SOS Online Backup received the PC Magazine Editors’ Choice Award and has been the recipient of this award since 2006.
