VP Ops Mike Gawarecki Leaves Overland

In a SEC filing, Overland Storage announced that, on March 27, 2009, W. Michael Gawarecki was terminated as Vice President of Operations and as an employee of the company. Eric L. Kelly, CEO, has assumed responsibility for Gawarecki’s duties on an interim basis.

He will receive a severance amount equal to six months base salary at his most recent rate of pay ($243,000 annually)

Gawarecki has served as Vice President of Operations since joining the company in July 1998 and as Vice President of New Product Delivery since February 2008. From October 1997 to June 1998, he was Vice President of Operations for SubMicron Systems Corporation, a supplier of equipment to the semiconductor industry. From February 1994 to September 1997, Gawarecki was Director of California Operations for Millipore Corporation, a supplier of purification products to the biopharmaceutical and semiconductor industries. From February 1993 to January 1994, he was Director of Advanced Manufacturing at Telectronics Pacing Systems, a medical device company.
