The new facility offers a training center for customers, prospects and partners, a technology laboratory for customer demonstrations, and meeting space for Spectra Logic Federal sales and engineering staff.
Spectra Logic Federal was founded in 2004 and today comprises more than 25 percent of North American revenue for Spectra Logic. More than 200 Federal agencies— including DoD, DoE, Homeland Security, NIH and the Pentagon— use Spectra’s data protection solutions for backup and archive. Spectra Logic Federal has experienced healthy year-over-year revenue increases despite the current economic conditions.
"Spectra Logic continues to grow and invest top line revenue in research and development for the Federal division, while many competitors continue to remove resources, especially in backup and archive," said Brian Grainger, VP and GM for Spectra Logic Federal. "Spectra’s new technology center will offer beltway-area customers and prospects a facility to view, test and learn new technologies prior to committing."
"Assurance Data’s company mission is to mitigate risk and secure data, and as a five-year Spectra Logic Federal partner, we know that Spectra’s storage solutions are a key component in accomplishing that goal,” said Matthew Morrison, President and CEO of Assurance Data. "The new technology center reflects on Spectra’s growth, profitability and dedication to the Federal market. Assurance Data plans to utilize the center to demonstrate various solutions to end users."
