Revinetix Eliminates Fees On Its Network Backup Solutions
With a unique pricing model that removes server and agent licensing fees
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on March 4, 2009 at 3:43 pmRevinetix announced the end of site/server licensing for network disk backup solutions with a cost-effective Capacity License offering. To help companies lower the TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) for their backup solution, Revinetix has developed a unique Capacity License pricing model for its lines of Sentio and Volo, rackmount and desktop, data backup appliances. The Capacity License eliminates annual licensing fees, removes separate fees for support of multiple operating systems, and eradicates any fees for Microsoft Exchange and SQL Server agents.
"Before Revinetix, keeping up with all the licenses, the media, the hardware, verifying the tape back-ups, was difficult, time consuming and expensive," said Steve Jones, Director of Technology for the Town of Blacksburg. "Revinetix eliminates all of this with its unique pricing model that removes server and agent licensing fees, making it a truly affordable solution."
"With current economic pressures, Revinetix offers a proven solution that’s affordable and easy on your budget," said Thomas G. Hogan, Revinetix chief executive officer. "When your organization expands, you can trust that with the Capacity License you’ll be covered. With no additional fees, data protection for any and all new servers and desktop/laptop computers can be added and managed through your Revinetix backup appliance."
All the hardware and software required for reliable, secure, easy-to-use disk-based backups is included as well as support for all major operating systems, including Microsoft, Netware, Linux, MAC OS-X, BSD, AIX, SCO Unix, and Solaris. MS-SQL Server Agent, Microsoft Message Level Exchange Agent, data de-duplication storage optimization and Active Directory support are also included.
"The Revinetix solution offered us a complete solution for one cost; we no longer needed to purchase additional licenses for each server we wanted to safeguard," said Kyle Stowell, IT Manager for Flying J Refinery.
The Capacity License is standard with every Sentio or Volo network backup data protection appliance and guarantees:
- No site fees or limitations, backup, recovery and archive services can be performed across an unlimited number of locations.
- No server fees or limitations, backup, recovery and archive services can be performed across an unlimited number of servers.
- No client fees or limitations, backup, recovery and archive services can be performed across an unlimited number of clients, including desktop and laptop computers, even over VPNs.
- No license renewal fees required, extended software maintenance agreements are available to provide feature enhancements beyond the initial one-year warranty.
"Our unique capacity licensing offering contributes to making Revinetix the lowest Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) solution for data protection available," said Hogan. "With a capacity license there will never be annual license renewal fees to worry about. It’s peace of mind for the bottom line."
