Springs Hosting Adds R1Soft CDP
Enabling offsite backups for local businesses
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on February 4, 2009 at 3:46 pmSprings Hosting, a provider of Web site and email hosting, dedicated servers, colocation and data center services for more than 13,000 clients, adds R1Soft Continuous Data Protection (CDP) to its set of highly-accommodating managed services, enabling local businesses to back up critical systems offsite for quick restoration in the event of a disaster.
Springs Hosting will implement CDP for MySQL, Windows and Linux with available archiving and control panel integration with Hsphere and Cpanel. CDP backups will be included with all Web hosting and email services and offered as an add-on to Colocation clients. The new service will empower clients to maintain complete control of their backups and forgo the upfront software and hardware costs of top-quality, off-site data protection and disaster recovery.
R1Soft CDP gives Springs Hosting an all-inclusive set of tools to accomplish the same task that previously involved the purchase of several different software products. The tools, particularly the user-friendly Web interface, make the administration of backups much easier for the Springs Hosting staff.
“After nearly two years of testing different backup solutions, Springs Hosting finally chose to utilize R1Soft CDP as their main interface for all clients facility-wide. The sheer speed and ease of use in the deployment of R1Soft throughout the facility was a huge factor in our final decision. On top of that, it required very minimal training within our staff,” said Jeremy Keefe, CIO of Springs Hosting.
“We’re pleased to see that R1Soft CDP has successfully aided the Springs Hosting staff in more efficiently administering backups. We expect CDP will demonstrate to be an invaluable add-on service going forward”, said David Wartell, vice president of R1Soft, a division of BBS Technologies.
