G-Technology, a Fabrik, Inc. company and manufacturer of storage solutions for the Apple Mac community, announced the new G-SPEED eS Pro storage solution with mini Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) connectivity that provides professional content creators Fibre Channel-like performance at a fraction of the cost. Bundled with a high-speed, eight-lane PCIe RAID controller that supports RAID levels 0, 1,3, 5 and 6, the G-SPEED eS Pro offers unprecedented speed for audio/video (A/V) professionals working with uncompressed HD and 2K footage. A single, four-drive G-SPEED eS Pro unit in RAID 0 delivers a data transfer rate of up to 330MB/sec read and 440 MB/sec write performance. Connect two units together in fail-safe RAID 5 and performance goes up to an amazing 675MB/sec read and 450 MB/sec write.
