Rebit Unveils Multi-PC De-Dupe Software

Rebit, Inc. announced a new, multiple-PC version of its fully automatic backup and recovery software, available on CD on January 30.  
 
Capable of backing up a maximum of six PCs, Rebit’s multi-PC software will transparently manage the entire backup process across all PCs.  The software can be password-protected on an individual PC to keep information private between PC users. Rebit also intelligently manages space requirements, always aware of how much space is available on the external disk before allowing another PC to be added to the backup drive. Rebit’s software includes a file de-duplication feature so only one copy of the operating system, applications, and other duplicate user files across multiple PCs is stored on the backup drive,  saving considerable storage space across multiple PCs.
 
In addition, Rebit announced that its successful current product offerings are now available on CD,  providing easy consumer installation on any external hard drive. The CD is available now to Resellers and end-users through ASI Computer Technologies.
 
Rebit will be demonstrating the software at Storage Visions 2009, January 6-7 at The Flamingo Hotel, and at ShowStoppers at CES, January 8 at the Lafite ballroom in The Wynn Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
 
Rebit software product Installation is ‘ridiculously easy’ for the end-user. Place the CD into the slot on your PC or laptop. Rebit will automatically find all appropriate disk drives, and will install on the one the user selects. That’s all there is to it.
