QStar Adds Three EMEA Regional Sales Directors
Craig Hatter, Carlo Restelli, and Dirk Jan Vermuelen, all former Plasmon's employees

"In spite of the sluggish economy, this year has been a time of expansion for QStar with new sales offices in Germany and Japan as well as the addition of several engineers. Now we continue to strengthen our sales team by adding three new regional sales directors in support of strategic markets in EMEA to take advantage of the growing sales trend for QStar", said QStar President Riccardo Finotti. "With the addition of Mr. Hatter, Mr. Restelli and Mr. Vermuelen we will be able to better support our current customer base as well as develop business in regions where the infrastructure and business trends are still growing, namely Eastern Europe, Africa and the Middle East."
Craig Hatter, Sales Director of Northern Europe, will manage sales in the UK, Nordics, Israel, Southern Africa and India. Hatter has 17 years experience in the IT Industry, 15 years of which have been in the storage Industry, much of that time working with QStar as a partner. He has a strong technical and sales background and has worked for disk, tape and optical manufacturers including Seagate, IBM and Plasmon. Hatter brings to QStar a strong understanding of the channel and their requirements. He will be directly responsible for key account relationships in Northern Europe.

Carlo Restelli, Sales Director for Southern Europe and the Middle East, will head up the effort to increase exposure in these developing regions. Restelli comes to QStar from a ten year stent at Plasmon and has strong knowledge of QStar solutions along with a background in archive storage. Prior to Plasmon Restelli was Branch Manager for an Italian value added distributor in the storage market where he gained experience selling RAID, optical and tape systems. He brings more than 15 years of sales experience to the company.

Dirk Jan Vermuelen, Sales Director of Western Europe and North Africa, will manage key accounts in Benelux and French speaking Norhtern Africa. Prior to joining QStar, Vermuelen’s most recently held a senior sales position at Plasmon and will head up a remote office in the Benelux region. Vermuelen brings to QStar local representation, strong sales qualities and more than 15 years of sales and channel experience.
