According to Dr Yang, demand for SSDs is expected to grow by around 20% in 2025, driven by increased deployment across data centers and intelligent endpoints.

SSDs, with their low latency and high throughput, offer a critical advantage – especially when paired with QLC NAND, which provides TCO savings of up to one-third compared to TLC NAND.

With DeepSeek catalyzing a democratization of AI capabilities, particularly among SMEs, Yang predicts that demand for SSD-powered edge AI will see an annual growth rate of 20% in 2025 – surpassing the historical average. He further adds that QLC NAND is poised to expand from consumer-grade storage into enterprise-level applications, solidifying SSDs as a cornerstone of next-gen AI infrastructure.
