Xinnor and Advanced HPC Enhance Backup and Restore Solution for US Federal Agency
Agency sought to address performance bottlenecks and enhance data throughput to Spectra Logic T950 tape library, Xinnor and Advanced HPC’s solution utilized xiRAID

This collaboration replaced an outdated HDD-based storage array with a modern solution using Xinnor’s xiRAID technology and NVMe SSDs, significantly improving performance and reliability.
The agency sought to address performance bottlenecks and enhance data throughput to its Spectra Logic, Corp. T950 tape library. Xinnor and Advanced HPC’s solution utilized xiRAID, a software RAID designed for optimal NVMe performance, ensuring data integrity even in the event of multiple drive failures.
“This deployment demonstrates xiRAID’s ability to deliver enhanced performance and robust data protection in critical environments,” said Davide Villa, CRO of Xinnor. “Our collaboration with Advanced HPC has provided the agency with a more efficient and reliable storage solution.”
The new system, featuring 12x30TB and 2×6.4TB Gen4 NVMe SSDs, was configured with xiRAID to meet the agency’s needs for high-speed read and write capabilities, integration with existing infrastructure, and scalability for future growth.

The project, procured through the NASA SEWP platform, highlights the effective partnership between Xinnor and Advanced HPC in providing a high-performance, reliable, and cost-efficient storage solution tailored to the agency’s needs.
