MWC 2025: Huawei New-Gen All-Flash Data Center Products and Scenario-specific Industry Solutions

At MWC Barcelona 2025, Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. successfully held the Data Storage Forum with the theme of Future-Proof Data Storage Power Unleashing the Value of Data in the AI Era.

Huawei Launches New Gen All Flash Data Center Products

At the forum, the company unveiled its new-gen all-flash data center products and scenario-specific industry solutions designed to help customers build future-proof data storage power, accelerate intelligent transformation, and unleash the value of data in the AI era.

Applications such as AI, big data, and HPC continue to inject vitality into data, ushering in digitalization and intelligentization. Powered by advanced large AI models, the intelligent transformation of all manner of industries is accelerating. Data quality is at the core of this transformation, and data is becoming a core asset for enterprises. The ability of enterprises across a vast range of industries to achieve digital and intelligent transformation amidst the awakening of mass data will be directly determined by their data quality and processing efficiency.

At the forum, the company proposed building future-proof data storage power for these goals: AI enablement, data aggregation, as well as green and secure. The firm also redefined data storage power from 6 dimensions including simplified paradigm, agile management, and super resilience.   • New-Gen OceanStor Dorado Converged All-Flash Storage for mission-critical applications
    An industry’s first data and control plane separation architecture improves performance three-fold. The upgraded SmartMatrix high-reliability architecture ensures zero data loss even upon the failure of 7 out of 8 controller enclosures. In addition, the system adopts a native storage architecture for block, file, and object.
  • OceanStor A800 New-Gen Performance AI Storage for large AI model training:
    An industry’s first long-term memory storage provides higher data throughput for AI training, improving computing power utilization by 30% and achieving inference response in milliseconds.
  • Next-Gen OceanStor Pacific 9928 All-Flash Scale-Out Storage for data analysis: The system supports large-scale concurrent access and diverse hybrid workloads. Thanks to 61.44TB high-capacity SSDs with high-density hardware design, intelligent data compression algorithm (2:1), dynamic hibernation algorithm and efficient heat dissipation design, the system enables a capacity density of 4PB/2 U and a power consumption of 0.25 W/TB.
  • Next-Gen OceanProtect E8000 All-Flash Backup Storage for data backup:
    The system supports both short-term and long-term data retention and protection. Thanks to all-flash QLC media and a scale-out architecture, the backup performance of a single cluster can reach up to 8 PB/h. The built-in algorithms achieve a maximum of 72:1 data reduction ratio.

    The unique synchronous multi-active technology across 3 sites and asynchronous multi-active technology across 12 sites, both based on the S3 object protocol, ensure reliable disaster recovery and flexible sharing of research data. The solution enables on-demand data flow between HPC and RDM data lakes. DME (Omni-Dataverse) provides unified data scheduling across clusters and data centers, achieving file retrieval from tens of billions of files within seconds.
