This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on November 18, 2024 at 2:01 pmObject First, Inc., the provider of Ootbi (Out-of-the-Box-Immutability), the ransomware-proof backup storage appliance purpose-built for Veeam, announced it continues to build momentum with Y/Y bookings growth of 347% in 3Q24.
The results show the increasing demand for immutable backup storage based on Zero Trust principles to secure data and effectively combat the rising threat of ransomware.
“Our 3Q24 was marked by significant growth in both bookings and strategic partnerships,” said David Bennett, CEO. “More partners and customers than ever are looking for secure, simple and powerful protection for their Veeam backup data, and our Ootbi appliance gives them a Zero Trust-based solution with no security expertise required. Our momentum will continue through 4Q24, as we welcome Daniel Fried, SVP of EMEA, and look forward to expansion in Veeam’s largest geographic market.”
Demand for Immutable Storage Grows
According to a recent survey of IT managers conducted by Object First, 93% agree immutable, Zero Trust backup storage is a must-have in today’s threat landscape. This demand fueled strong growth for Object First’s Ootbi in 3Q24, with appliance bookings rising by 235% in North America and 409% in LATAM Y/Y.
“Ootbi has transformed our backup process,” said Chenh Hong, network and security administrator at Glantz Design, Inc., a Kentucky-based agency offering graphic design, web development, content creation, and advertising services. “Before integrating Object First, we faced persistent backup challenges, but those issues are now a thing of the past. The restore process is just as seamless as the backups, and the entire experience-from purchasing to setup and implementation-has been incredibly straightforward. With Object First, we now have a Zero Trust backup solution that offers both security and performance, giving us confidence in the protection of our critical data.”
Object First’s partnerships also expanded aggressively in 3Q024, with a 191% Y/Y increase in transacting partners for the quarter. In addition, the company saw over a 400% increase in the number of partners closing multiple deals since the beginning of 2024.
Building on Team and Channel Strength
In addition to Daniel Fried, the company announced the appointment of Pete Hannah as the new VP sales in Western Europe to lead strategic expansion and partner growth in EMEA.
During 3Q24, Object First added to its channel ecosystem, including distributors such as TD Synnex France, TD Synnex Czech, and Ingram Micro Germany, as well as partners Erik Sterck, Cinetica, and Axians.
“We have complete confidence in Object First’s Ootbi solution,” said Diego Ercolani, technical director at SSIS (Società Servizi Informatici Sammarinese), based in San Marino. “After a thorough evaluation, we determined that Object First’s technology is a perfect fit for our data protection strategy.”
In 3Q24, Object First launched its Hands-on Lab (HOL) program in collaboration with Veeam, giving partners and customers the opportunity to explore the power of out-of-the-box immutable backup storage. HOL participants dive into practical application of backup and recovery best practices with Object First and Veeam experts, gaining invaluable insights for their businesses and customers. In 3Q24 Object First supported 103 lab sessions with organizations like ANM, MicroAge, VLCM, and CDW. To schedule a HOL, contact Object First Sales.
Additionally, Object First signed the ‘Secure by Design’ pledge created by the US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), further demonstrating the company’s commitment to transparency and providing customers with a secure and reliable platform.
