Kioxia Exceria Plus G2 Portable Up to 2TB USB 3.2 Gen2 SSD Series

Kioxia Europe GmbH announces the Exceria Plus G2 Portable SSD Series, an external storage solution.

Utilizing the company’s SSD technology and BiCS FLASH 3D flash memory, the product features a compact, elegant, and handy design that is for on-the-go users and content creators.

The Exceria Plus portable SSD series puts emphasis on both timeless design and portability with its elegant, pocket-sized housing. Compact and easy-to-grip, this portable SSD series fits up to 2TB of data in the palm of your hand. Smaller and lighter compared to its ^[1] predecessor, the Exceria Plus G2 portable SSD’s aluminum housing further improves ergonomics while enabling effective heat dissipation during heavy workloads.

With speeds of up to 1,050MB/s read and 1,000MB/s write ^[2], it features a slim USB Type-C connector with a USB 3.2 Gen2 interface enabling fast transferring of 4K videos and high-res photos. Capacities will be offered in 500GB, 1 and 2TB.

Compatible out-of-the-box with Windows OS, macOS, iPadOS, Android, PS4, PS4 Pro, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, each Exceria Plus G2 portable SSD also includes both a Type-C to A and Type-C to C cable to ensure compatibility on both current and legacy systems.

For maintenance and monitoring, users can utilize the firm‘s SSD Utility management software and even add an extra layer of security with password protection.

The Exceria Plus G2 portable SSD enables users to take their content with them, offering both fast and reliable storage in a sleek and ergonomic form factor that comfortably fits in the palm of your hand.

It will be available in 4Q24.
