Shawn Kinnear Chief Sales Officer, Vawlt

Vawlt Technologies S.A.Kinnear, Lisbon, Portugal-based start-up in the global long-term, distributed storage market, appointed Shawn Kinnear as chief sales officer (CSO).

 

 

With this new appointment in the senior leadership team, the company continues to drive impressive growth and commitment in the running regions, and will open its coverage to the US market.

It will keep expanding its team and is looking to secure the best of the best for positions ranging from business growth to product development.

It first launched its storage solutions in 2020. The product is focused on enabling companies to enjoy powerful, cloud-scale, operational resilience paired with simplified configuration and transparent cloud management. Since its launch, the firm has consistently led the charge in global Supercloud Storage innovations. Its approach redefines how businesses approach long-term, distributed storage, offering data security, efficiency, and the means for true, operational data sovereignty, along with long-term, independent storage strategies.

Prior to being named CSO, Kinnear served as the global VP sales at Avesha, a Boston, MA-based company, and Diamanti, based in San Jose, CA. In these roles, he was responsible for leading high-performing sales teams, driving revenue growth, and delivering large enterprise business-based solutions tailored for multi-cluster, multi-cloud, and edge environments. His expertise spans creating strategic sales initiatives, fostering customer success, and accelerating cloud technology adoption across various industries. He also worked at Micron Technology as senior director of enterprise Sales North America, where they transformed the company’s storage business and achieved significant market share. Before joining Micron, he worked at EMC as a district manager and Isilon manager, focusing on sales and recruiting top talent. Additionally, he served as the VP sales at XIO Storage, developing market strategies and managing a team of sales professionals. He also held the role of director of sales at Cotelligent and Canadian sales manager at Pinnacle Micro
