San Francisco Unicorns in Partnership with Rubrik

The San Francisco Unicorns announces Rubrik, Inc. as the official cybersecurity sponsor for the upcoming Major League Cricket (MLC) season, starting July 5, 2024.

The Palo Alto-based, NYSE-listed cybersecurity leader has more than 6,100 customers around the world who rely on Rubrik to ensure that they can recover and restore their business in hours, and avoid paying a ransom to hackers.

Commenting on the partnership, SF Unicorns co-owner Anand Rajaraman said: “Rubrik is exactly the kind of game-changing Unicorn the team is named for. This agreement is a testament to our shared commitment to excellence through talent, innovation and teamwork.“

As part of the partnership, Rubrik’s brand will be prominently displayed on the Unicorn’s team assets and uniforms, throughout the season.

This partnership follows the announcement of the Unicorns’ schedule and a 2024 roster featuring explosive batters Finn Allen and Matthew Short, express bowler Haris Rauf, and future superstar Jake Fraser-McGurk of Australia. For the 2nd successive season, the Unicorns will be coached by 2-time Indian Premier League (IPL) Player of the Season Shane Watson.

The 2024 MLC season will commence on July 5, with San Francisco Unicorn’s first match coming on July 7, when they take on the LA Knight Riders at Grand Prairie Stadium, in Grand Prairie, TX.

All 6 teams in the league will vie for the title of sophomore season champion, to be crowned in the Championship Game on July 25.
