LAB Technologies in Georgia Chooses Nakivo

Nakivo Inc. announced that LAB Technologies has selected the company Backup & Replication to protect their environment.

LAB Technologies has been operating in the technology industry for 15 years in Tbilisi, Georgia. It delivers end-to-end digital transformation solutions for companies across industries.

Its infrastructure is located on one site and is completely virtualized on VMware. It consists of 10 physical servers and 35 VMs, which store various applications, software, and demo labs. Not so long ago, the team at LAB Technologies was using VM snapshots instead of proper backups and were manually copying files. One day, they were shocked to find out that all the data had been scripted, and all the backups disappeared. The task of bringing everything back online and making systems available was daunting. “We needed to backup 1.2TB of data, and the backup took only 30mn to complete. We are using incremental backup every day and full backup once a week,” says Ivanishvili. “Global data de-dupe and compression are also excellent, as the features helped us to save up to 56% of our storage space.”

Nakivo Monitoring for VMware is included in the solution and allows LAB Technologies to have complete visibility into their infrastructure and optimize performance while resolving issues proactively. The functionality allows customization of alerts, report generation, and metrics monitoring in real time.

“I enjoy VMware monitoring functionality the most as the feature provides all the necessary information I need to proactively monitor the health of our environment. We configure alerts to quickly detect suspicious activities in the environment, and we can also view different kinds of reports,” says Ivanishvili.
