Cerabyte, a data storage company based in Munich, Germany, has unveiled a groundbreaking ceramic-based storage technology that offers significant improvements in data density and durability. Cerabyte’s storage solution utilizes ceramics arranged in layers as thin as 50 atoms, creating sheets up to 300µm thick. The data can be written and read at speeds of gigabytes per second, with the media supporting areal densities of terabytes per square centimeter.
