Sanjay Rohatgi Group Vice President Sales for AsiaPac and Japan, Cohesity

Cohesity, Inc. announced the appointment of Sanjay Rohatgi as Group Vice President (GVP) of sales for AsiaPac and Japan.

He brings over three decades of information and communications technology industry experience and leadership, will lead sales and customer engagement efforts in the region, with a focus on driving the adoption of firm’s modern data security, management, and AI-powered solutions.

Its industry experience in the APAC region spans IT, sales, business development, product marketing, and consulting services. Most recently, he held the role of SVP for the APAC region and GM for data storage and cloud storage solutions at NetApp, where he drove sales throughout the region, managed strategic partnerships, and refocused marketing around customer centricity. Prior to that, he held a range of sales leadership and business operations roles at Symantec, Cisco, Nortel Networks, Telstra, and British Telecom Research Labs.

He holds a number of tertiary qualifications, including an MBA from the Macquarie Graduate School of Management in Australia, a Master’s degree in Opto-Electronic from Strathclyde University in the UK, a Bachelor’s of Engineering degree with first-class honours in Electronics & Telecommunications from NIT in India, and more recently he completed Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program.

As a business leader, he is passionate about the AsiaPac and Japan region and believes a company’s people are the most important asset for driving growth and taking business performance to new heights. He also enjoys advising start-ups on how best to scale in the AsiaPac region while being a big proponent of diversity, inclusion, and belonging and the importance of inclusive growth in driving business’s success.
