Storage Fusion
In the modern business world, rapid decision making and speed of execution are key. Organizations that can tap into data to make higher quality decisions more quickly will gain a competitive advantage. Successful organizations are also realizing that cloud-native architectures based upon containers and microservices are a fundamental component of their ability to achieve speed and agility.

Storage Fusion is a cloud-native data services platform which delivers the simplicity and consistency modern businesses need to thrive. It is an integrated enterprise data services offering which can help accelerate your business’s ability to achieve and maintain a competitive advantage in a rapidly changing world.

Storage Fusion data services deliver capabilities including:

  • Data persistence
  • Data resilience
  • Data security
  • Data mobility
  • Data discovery

Storage Fusion Data Foundation, an integrated Storage Fusion service, provides the primary data persistence capabilities in Storage Fusion. Platform engineers use Storage Fusion Data Foundation to remove friction by providing application developers self-service access to storage classes implemented consistently and securely across Red Hat OpenShift environments.

Improving velocity and rate of innovation with Storage Fusion will not sacrifice enterprise-grade requirements for application resilience. Backup and restore, HA, and DR are core competencies of Storage Fusion designed to meet BC requirements. This combined solution delivers a consistent application platform and experience across public clouds, including IBM Cloud, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Microsoft Azure, in addition to on-premises environments such as bare metal servers, VMware, IBM zSystems, LinuxONE, and IBM z/OS Container Extensions (IBM zCX).

Storage Fusion data services combined with Red Hat OpenShift is the platform for your application modernization strategy, whether building custom applications, running databases, or utilizing IBM Cloud Paks. Collaboration between Storage Fusion and Cloud Pak for Data have resulted in exclusive capabilities such as nondisruptive backups to help eliminate costly downtime.
