AWS Backup Supports VMware vSphere V.8 and Multiple Virtual NICs

AWS Backup customers can now back up and restore their VMs running on VMware vSphere 8. VMs compatible with ESX 3.x and later can use vSphere 8.0. Additionally, AWS Backup gateway supports backups and restores of VMs configured with multiple vNICs (virtual network interface cards).
VMware vSphere 8 is the latest version of VMware vSphere that users are already using to manage their virtualized compute environments on premises and in VMware Cloud on AWS. Additionally, AWS Backup can protect VMs configured with multiple vNICs, a setup used to separate internal and external network traffic.
AWS Backup support for VMware is available in all regions except Asia Pacific (Jakarta), China (Beijing), and China (Ningxia) Regions.
AWS Backup gateway support is available in all regions except Asia Pacific (Osaka) Region.
