IBM Storage Ceph is an open, multiprotocol, massively scalable, software-defined storage solution from IBM Storage based on the Ceph open-source project to meet the storage platform needs of hybrid cloud deployments.

It offers hardened, secure, and supported enterprise software curated from Ceph open-source community software and IBM Storage Insights for Spectrum Control. Through its integration with the IBM global data platform, it offers a versatile approach for object and file storage.

It delivers SDS on your choice of industry-standard hardware. Ceph deployment use cases include data lakes, data platform for data analytics and artificial AI/ML, on-prem Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) API and ecosystem compliant object storage, active archive, and other newly emerging hybrid cloud data workloads that need support for real-time data pipelines. Storage Ceph is a bundled product containing Ceph, Spectrum Control, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
