This solution, called Spectra Digital Archive (SDA), is powered by the firm’s StorCycle, an enterprise software designed to easily and cost-effectively archive data at scale. SDA enables organisations to manage and archive terabytes to petabytes of unstructured data, digitally preserving that data on any combination of disk, tape and cloud, without sacrificing reliability or data availability.
The Digital Archive solution provides policy-driven automation that scales to meet organisational performance and capacity demands. Customers are able to define the data retention settings that align best with their organisation’s compliance, ransomware protection and DR requirements.

It is not a new product, there is new SKU or license for it, but rather a new positioning around a solution approach that articulates a more comprehensive unstructured data archiving message.
StorCycle continues to be regularly updated with new release with new features.
SDA promotes a full Spectra Logic solution or a modular one with secondary storage devices or subsystems coming from different vendors, the common piece being StorCycle as the data movement engine across all these storage entities.
