IBM Elastic Storage System 3500 delivers support for the next-gen of PCIe network adapters and 10TB self-encrypting HDDs

IBM Elastic Storage System (ESS) 3500 offers support for the next-gen NVIDIA ConnectX-7 IB dual-port NDR 200 Virtual Protocol Interconnect (VPI) network adapter and related network cables. ESS 3500 is also adding support for a 10TB SED option to enable key-managed SED encryption.

Key requirements: The NVIDIA ConnectX-7 IB adapter (AJQS) and the 10TB SED HDD (AJRD) require an ESS 3500 system running version 6.1.6.0, or later.

Planned availability dates:

March 10, 2023: All features, except AJQS
April 21, 2023: Feature AJQS for machine type-model 5141-FN2
