With updated CPU and RAM, the TS5020 offers smoother operations and reduced backup times, even with high-load environments. Compatible with VMware and Hyper-V, it can be set as an iSCSI backup target and iSCSI replication capable, allowing user to fully leverage virtualization to enhance performance and security. It also includes Btrfs, a next-gen file system that provides native data protection, smoother file operations, and increased snapshot features.
It is the company’s more secure NAS yet, featuring security features such as 2-factor authentication (2FA) to protect user login credentials, drive encryption, a closed system, and a myriad of on- and offline backup features to protect user data. In addition, it will include the snapshots feature from TS6000 devices – a game changer when it comes to short-term data backup and restore. A snapshot is a virtual copy of user local data that user can restore from anytime. They can be created manually or automatically scheduled, and user can recover data from them near-instantaneously, without having to undergo cumbersome BR processes and thus saving both time and money. Snapshots are scalable, allowing user to recover individual files to entire storage volumes, and can help mitigate the rampant threat of ransomware by reverting any encrypted files to a previously-uninfected state.
The firm’s products are reliable and easy-to-use and backed by industry customer service, including 24/7 North American-based support, and DR services. The company has 4 decades of networking and computer peripheral manufacturing and design experience.
