Tractor Maker Zetor in Czechia Opts for Nakivo Backup & Replication

Nakivo, Inc. announced that Zetor Tractors a.s. has selected its Backup & Replication to protect their environment.

Zetor started manufacturing tractors in the post-war period after 1945. Its first tractor, the Z 25, was delivered in 1946. Five months later, the Chamber of Commerce and Trade of the Czechoslovak Republic (as it was known at the time) issued a trademark for the Zetor brand. Since then, the brand has become synonymous with hard work and is one of the most important exporters in Czechia.

Zetor’s operating data is stored on VMs and mainly consists of planning, projection, and business systems. In the era of cybercrime and other threats to BC, backup is essential for the end user. Without proper backup and recovery processes, the company’s operations would be exposed to high risk. In case of data loss, its operations can come to a complete halt, disrupting production, trade, and supply.

Zetor’s environment was previously protected by a different backup solution. The company decided to switch to a different vendor because the existing solution was too expensive. Moreover, backup jobs took longer than acceptable, and there was too much administration effort for the IT team. Zetor’s backup solution would have offered the perfect price-performance ratio, as well as ease of use for the IT department. Due to these requirements, Zetor chose Backup & Replication.
