Transcend MTE720T NVMe 1.4 PCIe Gen 4×4 Up to 2TB M.2 SSD for Industrial Applications
Up to 7,200MB/s and 6,500MB/s RW speeds, endurance up to 3,000 P/E cycles, supporting -20°C~75°C temperature
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on October 5, 2022 at 2:01 pmTranscend Information, Inc. announced the MTE720T PCIe Gen 4×4 M.2 SSD, boasting an increased sequential R/W up to 7,200MB/s and 6,500MB/s and an endurance up to 3,000 P/E cycles.
This launch is expected to empower data-intensive applications like 5G communication, edge computing, and AIoT with low latency and reliability.
Compliant with NVMe 1.4 specs, the MTE720T features an 8-channel controller. Its built-in DRAM improves random speeds by shortening data access time while extending SSD life by reducing the times NAND flash is written. In response to the demanding environments of industrial applications, the company has made use of anti-sulfur resistors, Corner Bond, and 30µ gold finger PCBs to protect drive components from external shock, vibration, and pollution. The MTE720T can operate in an extended temperature range (-20°C~75°C) in order to adapt to rapid thermal changes and extreme temperatures.
As data continues to grow, data integrity and storage security have become increasingly important. The company has incorporated technologies and firmware optimization solutions, including LDPC ECC functionality, Dynamic Thermal Throttling, and Power Shield (PS), effectively enhancing operation stability and data correctness. In addition, it provides the management software Control Center to assist corporate clients in remotely managing storage devices at lower cost and better efficiency, benefiting AIoT development through hardware-software integration.
