This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on July 13, 2022 at 2:02 pmQnap Systems, Inc. introduced TS-i410X, an industrial 10GbE NAS.
Built with a fanless design, a solid chassis, multiple flexible installation options (set-top box or wall mounted), and a wide-range temperature and DC power support, It is a NAS for factories and warehouses, semi-outdoor environments, and transportation.
Non-office settings would benefit from a NAS, as they are designed for high performance in varying temperatures, environments, and conditions. The TS-i410X ensures reliable operations, between -40°C ~ 70°C (-40°F ~ 158°F), when used with industrial-grade SSDs (such as Exascend, Inc.’ SI3 2.5-inch SSD). The 9V-36V DC wide-range power supply meets the various input voltage requirements for industrial and transportation applications. This NAS utilizes the performance Intel Atom x6425E quad-core processor (up to 3.0GHz), with AES-NI accelerated encryption and long-term life cycle support of at least 7 years, along with 8GB memory and 4x2.5-inch SATA 6Gb drive bays that are for SSDs. Given these enhancing designs, users can implement SSD cache acceleration, improving all-round NAS performance and access speeds.
“We are pleased to continue our collaboration with Qnap in providing high-performance NAS solutions for businesses.” said Jason Ziller, GM, client connectivity division, Intel Corp. “The Intel Atom x6000E processor series delivers next-generation CPU and graphics performance for real-time computing, industrial-centric I/O, and low power consumption. Delivering game-changing capabilities to the industrial-grade NAS market segment.”
“Industrial fields, transportation, and semi-outdoor environments require smart, modern data management. And that drives strong demands for NAS with higher performance, reliability, and wide temperature range support,” said Meiji Chang, GM, Qnap. “The TS-i410X NAS, featuring the Intel Atom x6000E series processor with extreme temperature tolerance is optimized for non-office environments to provide an ideal storage solution for centralized data management, efficient backup, and real-time synchronization – easing the challenges of managing large volumes of data while benefiting productivity, yield rate, and profitability.”
The TS-i410X contains 2x10GBASE-T RJ45 (10G/5G/2.5G/1G) ports that excel in bandwidth-demanding applications (including massive file transfer, high-speed backup/restoration, multimedia streaming, and virtualization). Given Qnap’s cost-effective storage, including networking solutions, users can upgrade and future-proof their network environments. The industrial-grade 12-port 10GbE managed switch QSW-IM1200-8C is an addition for the TS-i410X NAS – delivering high-speed network deployment in rugged Industry 4.0 environments. In addition, the TS-i410X features an HDMI (4K @30Hz) output, enabling users to directly display NAS multimedia, surveillance recordings, or VM desktops.
The TS-i410X exceeds storage security, backup, and central management, along with file sharing and expansion capabilities. Snapshot support ensures data protection and instant restoration – protecting customers against growing ransomware threats. The value-added App Center further increases NAS application potential, such as facilitating local/remote/cloud backup, hosting virtual machines and containers, implementing a professional video surveillance system, deploying a cloud storage gateway.
